Attracting a lot of attention with its debut at the 1983 Tokyo Motor Show was Yamaha's GP racer the RZV500R, which now comes accurately remodeled as a plastic assembly kit model. Famous features of the RZV500R such as its large-size fairing, fuel tank, and single seat cowling are all realistically reproduced. The air-cooled 2-stroke V4 500cc engine along with its carburetors and radiator are finished in precise detail which captures the mechanical mood of the machine. A metal coil spring for the rear link-type monocoque suspension enhances presence. In addition, parts such as ignition cords and radiator hoses are depicted with vinyl tubing to provide the model with greater realism.
